What Beaufort does to a window
Beaufort sits on a peninsula in the Beaufort River, and the river is what the glass has to live with. The Point, Old Point, Bay Street and the homes along Battery Creek and Spanish Point take a damp salt haze off the water most mornings that leaves a gray film on the water side of the house. A nor'easter or a fall storm pushes a harder salt line well inland, and the old single-pane sashes in the Historic District sweat on cold mornings and trap grime between the storm panes.
Under the salt is the canopy. Beaufort's live oaks are among the oldest on the coast, and from late February into April they drop a pollen that covers every pane, sill and porch screen in town. Spanish moss and oak leaves drip tannin after every rain for the rest of the year, and the deep shade over Mossy Oaks, Pigeon Point and the Historic District keeps north-facing glass damp enough for mildew in the corners of the frames. Out toward Shell Point and Habersham the canopy is pine, and well-water sprinklers leave orange iron streaks along the lower panes.
River-front and creek-front homes on The Point, Bay Street, Spanish Point and Shell Point do best every two months. Homes inland under the oaks do well quarterly, with the inside glass done once a year either way. We know the parking and alley access on The Point, work the historic blocks early before the street fills up and send a text the morning of.

Beaufort window cleaning questions
How much does window cleaning cost in Beaufort?
First-clean pricing varies by home size and service package. A first cleaning, inside and out, is $259 for a home up to 2,000 square feet, $329 for 2,000 to 3,500 square feet, and $429 for larger homes on our Silver package. After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Oceanfront and riverfront estates get a custom quote.
How often should windows be cleaned in Beaufort?
Every two months for homes on the Beaufort River or the creeks at The Point, Bay Street, Spanish Point or Shell Point, where salt builds up fast on the water side. Quarterly for homes inland under the oaks in Mossy Oaks and Pigeon Point, which keeps pollen and tannin drip under control. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Do you work in the gated communities?
Yes. We work in Habersham, Celadon, Cat Island and Dataw Island, and in the waterfront condo buildings on Bay Street with fob access. Just add us to your gate list or tell us the procedure when you book.
Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
